I was recently talking with church leader in France who serves on the board of a growing network of church.

“We have a real shortage of churches” he said.”We know of a handful of churches that would be able to support a pastor but are not able to find a candidate for the role.”

At the church here were I am serving, we have received over 200 ministry resumes for potential pastoral candidates for the Lead Pastor role here.  The striking contrast demonstrates the  need for strong, French pastoral leadership. It also demonstrate the great opportunities that are open in France. Many existing churches are primed to continue to have influence and see growth through France.

My hope is to be able to help serve the French church by equipping and strengthening pastoral leadership. Getting from here to there is going to involve many challenges. But one challenge that I don’t face is a lack of opportunities.
